  • The Opportunity Lesley University's department of Expressive Therapies is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach: GEXTH 7000 - Clinical Voice; July 20-24 (M-F); 9:00am - 6:00pm In-Person; Low Residency.
  • Course Description: This advanced music therapy clinical musicianship course focuses on the use of voice methods in clinical contexts.
  • It introduces a range of methods grounded in clinical, voice-based improvisation that can be applied across diverse medical, mental health, and community settings.
  • The course is framed within a developmental model, exploring the use of voice across the lifespan in both clinical and cultural contexts for individuals and groups.
  • Qualities and Capabilities A successful candidate will have: A Master's degree in Music Therapy, Expressive Therapies, Counseling, or a related field (required) Music Therapy credentials (MT-BC) Teaching experience in Music Therapy, Expressive Therapies, or a related field, at the graduate level Two+ years of FTE clinical experience, with a record of scholarly activity (required); Five+ years of clinical experience (preferred) Ability to teach music therapy clinical courses, in addition to music therapy specialization courses Experience with AMTA accreditation (preferred) Why Lesley Located in the heart of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Lesley University is highly regarded for its graduate and undergraduate programs in the human arts of education, the arts, and applied social sciences.
