About the Role
The Registered Therapy Assistant (ECI) supports Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) services for children ages 0–3 with developmental delays or disabilities.
Working under the supervision of a licensed therapist, you will provide hands-on, individualized therapy services in home and community-based settings while coaching caregivers to support their child’s development.

- What a typical day looks like
- Travel to family homes or community settings within your assigned area
- Work one-on-one with infants and toddlers using play-based therapy techniques
- Coach caregivers on developmental strategies and milestones
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (PT, OT, SLP, social workers)
- Document therapy sessions and progress in electronic health records

- Key responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IFSP goals
- Provide therapy interventions within PTA/COTA scope of practice
- Accurately document sessions, progress, and outcomes
- Educate families on exercises and developmental strategies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Maintain compliance with ECI standards and confidentiality
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development

Minimum Qualifications
- Current Texas licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Graduate of an accredited therapy assistant program
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass background checks

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) or pediatric therapy
- Familiarity with IFSP processes and documentation
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Experience with EHR or therapy documentation systems
- Pediatric certifications or continuing education
