Job Description

Elwyn seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to provide direct speech and language therapy services to preschool children as indicated in their Individualized Education Program (IEP).

This includes direct services, conducting evaluations, assessments, analyzing data, writing reports, and determining the strengths and areas of concern or need in speech, communication, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language and oral motor skills that will help students to participate in their education process to their maximum capabilities.

Speech services are provided in the community, homebased, or at the child's Early Childhood Education location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide speech and language therapy as recommended in each child's Individual Education Plan (IEP) within the context of the natural environment Complete required documentation including daily Service Verification Notes, Biannual Progress Monitoring, and other necessary reports Maintain a caseload of 25-50 children based on the duration and frequency of services as indicated on each IEP (caseload prorated if working less than 40 hours per week) Provide ongoing assessment of eligibility including providing re-evaluation when necessary and plan appropriately for discharge of children Participate in IEP meetings, providing service recommendations, present levels of performance, and goals/outcomes Participate in team/staff meetings designed to support the overall function of the program Participate in professional development opportunities within and outside of Elwyn that are appropriate to the field of special education Participate in supervision, feedback, mentoring, and self-reflection to support therapeutic excellence Complete other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is preferred Pennsylvania Department of Education Certification in Speech Instruction or Speech Communication Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certification (CCC) Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) considered Minimum of one (1) year experience working with children with disabilities Must be able to perform CPR using agency-trained protocols Knowledge of principles, techniques, and equipment, including low to high technology AAC devices, used in individual and group treatment of a wide variety of speech/language disorders.

Demonstrate knowledge of current diagnostic and assessment tools available for use with students with speech/language impairments.

Demonstrated strong attention to detail Demonstrated strong time management and organizational skills Demonstrated intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Access, Publisher and report-writer experience preferred Ability and means to travel on a flexible schedule as needed Must possess a current, valid driver's license in state of residence, have a minimum of two (2) years of driving experience within the United States, and have an acceptable driving record 2025-3608

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, a valid SLP license in Pennsylvania, and ASHA certification. Candidates must have at least one year of experience working with children with disabilities and a valid driver's license.
