Overview The Adjunct Instructor (AI) is responsible for clinical and laboratory supervision and the evaluation of students for the delivery of both residential and distance education courses.
The AI is accountable for student outcomes and acts as a resource for students providing support, remediation, and referral as needed.
The AI shall maintain professional competence in their specific discipline through such activities as practice, continuing education programs, conferences, workshops, seminars, academic courses, research projects, and professional writing.
The AI participates in community and institutional service activities which contribute to the mission of RHS and RCHC.
Essential functions are fundamental job duties, knowledge, skills and abilities that are necessary to perform the position.

What you will do
Instructor is evaluated on activities that support learning, including instructional design, delivery (both residential and distance methods), assessment, course management, and academic advising.
Accountable for program, student, and graduate outcomes.
Maintains professional competence in their specific discipline through such activities as practice, continuing education programs, conferences, workshops, seminars, academic courses, research projects, and professional writing.
Completes required instructional scholarly activity and professional development to include two (2) activities related to Distance Education, two (2) activities in the instructor’s professional discipline, two (2) activities directly related to teaching, and one (1) activity related to instructional simulation (not applicable to RN-to-BSN faculty).

Candidates must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing and a valid RN license for Virginia or a multi-state privilege. Required experience includes 3-4 years of recent clinical or teaching experience and a current CPR/BLS certification.
