Overview School Nurse (RN) Parttime or Fulltime needed, 20-40 hours per week.
Maintain a cumulative health record on each student. Develop individualized health care plans, emergency action plans, and bus plans as needed for students with special health concerns. Administer medications Administer first aid and treats illnesses Assure that all students are in compliance with the Maryland state law for immunizations. Maintain and organize medical equipment and supplies for the school health suite. Assist with and/or provides annual hearing and vision screenings Monitor height, weight, pulse, and blood pressure of designated students. Serve as a liaison between family, school personnel, and health care providers. Participate in pre-admission and Annual Team Meeting or Annual Individual Education Plan Meeting review for students with identified health needs. Participates on a nursing committee (attends 75% of meetings, or routinely completes an assigned task for the committee, or may serve as a co-chair).
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN or enrolled in a BSN program to be completed within 2 ½ years of hiring date.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical/pediatric experience required and minimum of one year of school health experience required.
Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license from Maryland or a compact state.
Current CPR certification that included hands on skills Minimum pay range USD $71,518.51/Yr. Maximum pay range USD $127,585.95/Yr.
