The 1st Grade Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Stratford curriculum. They must create a positive classroom environment and collaborate with families and leadership to support student growth.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and have experience teaching in a lower elementary classroom. Strong communication skills and a student-centered approach to teaching are required.

At Stratford School, our lower elementary classrooms are built around curiosity, structure, and strong relationships. We’re looking for a teacher who enjoys working with early elementary students and wants to be part of a collaborative school community. As a 1st-grade teacher, you’ll create a classroom where students feel supported, challenged, and excited to learn each day. You’ll work closely with fellow teachers, school leadership, and families to help students grow academically and socially. In this role, you will: Plan and teach engaging lessons aligned with the Stratford curriculum. Create a positive, organized classroom environment that supports student learning and independence. Assess student progress and communicate regularly with families. Collaborate with grade-level teammates and school leadership to support student success. Participate in school events, professional development, and the broader campus community. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
