Perform full-range clinical athletic training functions, including the planning and delivery of daily services to student-athletes. Responsibilities include preventing and treating injuries, managing rehabilitation, and providing medical emergency coverage during athletic events.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in athletic training or a related field and BOC certification. Candidates must also maintain CPR/AED certification for Professional Rescuers and possess a valid driver's license.
Reporting to and receiving general supervision from the Director of Sports Medicine, the Assistant Athletic Trainer I will perform the full range of clinical athletic training functions, which involve the planning, organization and delivery of daily athletic training services to student-athletes. The position is also involved in the development and organization of the sports medicine program.
A valid driver's license is required for this position. Out of state candidates selected for the position must obtain a State of California driver's license within 10 days of hire in accordance with the California Department of Motor Vehicles regulations.
Once hired the employee must successfully complete the Defensive Driver Training Program provided by the State of California for California State University campuses.
$4,482/month - $6,530/month (Step 1 – Step 20)

Campus Security Authority - In accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) and CSU systemwide policy, this position is subject to ongoing review for designation as a Campus Security Authority.
