We are seeking Special Education Teachers who are passionate about making a difference in children’s lives within home and community settings.

  • Overview: As a Special Education Teacher in our Early Intervention program, you will work with infants and toddlers (birth to 3 years old) with developmental delays. You will design and implement individualized intervention plans and partner with families to support their child’s educational and functional growth.

  • Responsibilities: Provide direct early childhood special education services to children in home and community settings. Develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs). Conduct developmental assessments and progress monitoring. Work collaboratively with families and interdisciplinary team members. Deliver family coaching to encourage developmental growth. Maintain documentation and service logs in compliance with NYC EI requirements. Flexible scheduling with full-time, part-time, hourly, or fee-for-service options. Competitive pay structure for direct service and evaluations. Opportunities for supervision and clinical mentorship. Mobile-friendly electronic documentation system. Ongoing professional development and CEU opportunities. Referral and retention bonuses. New York State certification in Special Education (Birth–Grade 2 or equivalent). Experience with infants, toddlers, or early childhood preferred. Knowledge of Early Intervention service delivery models and documentation standards. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to travel within assigned boroughs of NYC. Hand dexterity ability (ability to operate mobile device, smart phone, computer). Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to travel to various locations on a near daily basis. Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

*Rates are determined based on a combination of factors such as experience level, assignment location, service setting, and applicable program guidelines.

Requirements

Requires New York State certification in Special Education (Birth–Grade 2 or equivalent) and the ability to travel within NYC. Experience with early childhood populations and knowledge of Early Intervention service delivery models is preferred.
