Part-Time Reporting Functions: Reports to the Principal Job Summary: St. Ann's Catholic School is seeking a caring, organized, and dependable Part-Time School Nurse to join our school community for the 2026-2027 Academic Year. This position is approximately 25 hours per week and offers the opportunity to support the health and well-being of our students in a faith-filled educational environment.
Providing daily nursing care and first aid to students and staff. Managing student health records and medication administration. Communicating with parents regarding student health concerns. Monitoring immunization and medical compliance requirements. Supporting health and safety procedures throughout the school. Educational Requirements: Previous pediatric, school nursing, or related experience required. Strong communication and organizational skills. PRIOR TO STARTING EMPLOYMENT: Clear records of Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check (PATCH), Pennsylvania Child Abuse History, and Federal Bureau of Investigation Criminal Background Fingerprint Check as required under Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Act 153 of 2014 (at least 1 year old.) As well as attendance at a Protecting God's Children class and Mandated Reporter Training. Physical Demands: Must have the ability to walk, reach with arms and hands, climb and balance; some carrying, pushing, and/or pulling may be involved; as well as some stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; exhibit manual dexterity to handle or feel and to manipulate keys on a keyboard and dial a phone; to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; ability to understand and follow oral and written instruction. The employee may occasionally need to lift a child. Occasional personal and close contact with children is required. Regular contact with staff members, administration, and parents is required. Frequent contact with parents by phone and in person is necessary. The job is performed under conditions with exposure to risk of injury and/or illness. Working Conditions: Normal school environment. Part-Time; approximately 25 hours a week. School operational hours are 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM; Monday through Friday. May be required to work beyond normal school hours to attend various meetings, school events, and retreats.
