The role involves delivering engaging lessons and managing a welcoming classroom environment for children with educational and behavioral challenges. Responsibilities also include documenting student progress and collaborating with parents and outside providers.
Candidates must hold an Initial or Permanent NYSED Special Education Teacher certification. A Bachelor's or Master's degree is preferred.

The ALC is a therapeutic special education school for children facing educational, emotional, and behavioral challenges serving children in small class sizes with a maximum number of 80 children.
