Teach two sections of introductory-level philosophy or religion courses and potentially senior electives over three trimesters. Collaborate with departmental faculty to cultivate equitable learning experiences for a diverse student body.
A Master's degree or Ph.D. in philosophy or religious studies is preferred, along with at least three years of teaching experience. Candidates must be committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom.
The salary range for this position may vary based on the numbers of sections taught. Each Section taught can range from $5,000 - $5,500
Phillips Academy seeks an Adjunct Instructor in Philosophy and Religious Studies to teach two sections over our three trimesters that span from early September 2026 to June 2027. These two sections would include introductory-level (10th grade) sections of either ‘Proof and Persuasion’ or ‘Faith and Doubt’ throughout the year, and optionally senior electives depending on candidate interest and background.
