The Learning Experience - Ledgewood is seeking a dependable and engaging Preschool Teacher to lead our Twos Classroom. This role is ideal for an educator who enjoys supporting language development, social-emotional growth, emerging independence, and school readiness during this important stage of early childhood development.
Key Responsibilities: Lead a classroom of 2-year-old children in a safe, nurturing learning environment
Implement engaging, age-appropriate learning activities using the L.E.A.P. curriculum
Support language development, social-emotional growth, and early problem-solving skills
Guide daily classroom routines including toileting readiness, meals, transitions, and rest time
Foster positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators
Maintain an organized, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment
Communicate regularly with families regarding milestones, progress, and daily activities
Partner with assistant teachers to ensure classroom consistency and success
Follow all New Jersey childcare licensing and safety requirements
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required
Prior childcare, daycare, preschool, or toddler classroom experience required
CDA or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred
Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Passion for supporting young children's growth and development
Must meet New Jersey childcare licensing and background requirements
