The SLPA implements speech and language therapy activities and communication goals under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist. They are responsible for collecting performance data, maintaining accurate service logs, and collaborating with teachers and caregivers.
Candidates must hold an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in SLPA studies or Communication Disorders and possess a valid state SLPA license. Experience working with children or individuals with communication disorders is preferred.

The Speech Language Pathology Assistant supports the delivery of speech and language services under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist. The SLPA works directly with students or clients to implement therapy plans, collect data, and support communication goals while adhering to professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology Assistant studies, Communication Disorders, or a related field Valid SLPA license or registration as required by the state Experience working with children or individuals with communication disorders preferred Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Ability to follow treatment plans and work collaboratively under supervision Basic proficiency with documentation systems and educational or clinical technology
