This is a fully remote position that allows you to support students from your home office while collaborating with school teams, families, and related service providers to ensure student success.

Position responsibilities

As a Remote Special Education Teacher, you will

  • Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide specialized instruction aligned with student goals and educational needs
  • Deliver virtual instruction and interventions to support student growth
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, administrators, and families
  • Monitor and document student progress using data-driven practices
  • Participate in virtual IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Maintain compliance with Vermont special education regulations and federal requirements
  • Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and functional development
  • Foster positive and engaging virtual learning environments

Qualifications

  • Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field
  • Valid Vermont Special Education Teaching License
  • Ability to work remotely with reliable internet access
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Preferred
  • Previous experience providing special education services in school settings
  • Experience with virtual instruction or telepractice platforms
  • Familiarity with IEP development and case management
