Champlain College is seeking a Faculty Support Specialist to serve as a hands-on partner for faculty development, educational technology integration, and the fulfillment of course standards. This newly created position will work directly with faculty to design learning experiences that leverage our Canvas LMS, integrate institutional assessment practices, and support Champlain's pedagogical approaches of inquiry-based, integrative, and experiential learning.
The Faculty Support Specialist provides consultation, training, and one-on-one coaching to both full-time and adjunct faculty, helping them build engaging, accessible, and standards-aligned courses. You'll collaborate with academic leadership, course designers, and technology staff to advance institutional priorities during a period of significant curricular change — including the launch of a more interdisciplinary academic model.
The ideal candidate combines instructional design expertise with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible, faculty-friendly guidance.
