Jovie San Diego, CA, USA
A bit about us: We are an active, family-oriented household in Poway looking for a warm, experienced nanny to care primarily for our infant daughter who is currently about 6 months old. We also have an energetic 8-year-old son who is high-functioning autistic, incredibly smart, and enjoys staying engaged through activities, classes, and learning opportunities. He attends school during the academic year, and will occasionally be home during school breaks, holidays, and summer vacation, so we're looking for someone who can build a positive relationship with both children. Our family values trust, communication, engagement, and creating enriching experiences for our children. Mom currently works from home most days, and both parents maintain busy professional schedules, so we're seeking someone dependable who can confidently manage the day while keeping our daughter safe, stimulated, and thriving. We love spending time together exploring activities, classes, parks, and community events, and hope to find a nanny who shares our enthusiasm for child development and active learning.
You are a nurturing, energetic, and highly reliable caregiver with significant infant experience and a strong understanding of developmental milestones. You genuinely enjoy helping children learn and grow through play, outings, and age-appropriate activities, and you bring a proactive, self-starting approach to your work. You are an excellent communicator who keeps parents informed, welcomes feedback, and exercises sound judgment independently. Ideally, you have experience supporting children with special needs or working with children on the autism spectrum and can remain patient, calm, and adaptable when caring for both children during school breaks or occasional coverage needs.
Your primary responsibility will be caring for an infant throughout the workday, following established feeding, nap, and play routines while encouraging developmental growth and milestone achievement. Duties include planning engaging activities, taking the child on outings such as story times, My Gym classes, walks, parks, and other age-appropriate adventures, as well as baby related household tasks: preparing and feeding solids, washing bottles, completing baby laundry, tidying play areas, and assisting with other child-related household tasks during naps. The nanny will maintain daily logs of feedings, naps, and activities and communicate regularly with parents regarding the child's day and development. Occasional care for an older sibling may be needed during school breaks, holidays, or other periods when he is home. “Text NANNY to 206-752-6917 to apply and schedule your interview in under 3 minutes.
