The school social worker delivers a comprehensive counseling program to support the academic and behavioral success of PreK-8th grade students. This includes providing individual and group counseling, crisis response, and collaborating with families and staff to remove barriers to education.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree and a valid Massachusetts Teaching License as a School Social Worker or School Adjustment Counselor. Required licensure includes LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC, with knowledge of Special Education policies preferred.
