  • Autism Center of Excellence is hiring a Behavior Technician (BT) in Durham, NC. We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and energetic individuals who are passionate about helping children with autism develop communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience working with children who are looking to build a rewarding career in ABA while receiving hands-on training, ongoing support, and opportunities for professional growth. No ABA experience is required. Paid training is provided.   • Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy services under BCBA supervision
  • Implement individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention strategies
  • Support communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skill development
  • Collect and record behavioral data accurately
  • Maintain a safe, engaging, and professional therapy environment
  • Collaborate with supervisors regarding client progress and treatment implementation
  • Complete documentation accurately and on time Availability Requirements Candidates must have availability Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM. In addition, selected candidates must be available to attend the initial paid training and onboarding program, which is conducted Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM during the first two weeks of employment. Services and schedules are determined based on client needs, staffing needs, authorizations, cancellations, and operational considerations. Consistent availability during the listed schedule is required. Additional service opportunities may become available based on client needs and operational considerations; however, no minimum number of hours is guaranteed. Schedules are generally aligned with operational and client needs; however, occasional schedule adjustments or Saturdays may be required based on operational or client needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience working with children required
  • Experience in childcare, education, special education, behavioral health, direct support, or related fields preferred
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Strong communication and professionalism required
  • Must be dependable, patient, and team-oriented
  • Ability to pass required background checks
