Salary
$20 - $22 / HOUR
Provide supervision and trauma-informed care for children within a residential program, including facilitating activities and assisting with daily hygiene. Maintain detailed behavioral logs and collaborate with the treatment team to ensure safety and compliance.
A high school diploma or GED is required, while a bachelor's degree is preferred. Candidates should have one to two years of related experience and the physical ability to restrain a child if necessary.
$20.00/hr + up to $2/hr shift differential
Schedule: Monday-Friday 5:00AM-9:00AM
Children’s Home Society of South Dakota is seeking a Part Time Residential Youth Counselor to work as part of a team providing supervision and trauma informed care of children within the residential program. of Employment at CHS: Work-Life Balance: Scheduled hours during the week. Flexibility to pick up additional shifts if desired. Financial/Education Assistance: Up to $200 per month in tuition reimbursement or student loan repayment for qualifying employees. Retirement Plans: Once entry into the plan, employees receive a 3% employer contribution each pay period and up to an additional 5% annual contribution. Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience One to Two years related experience and/or training.
Residential environment focused on care of children with behavioral issues. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to physically restrain a child in ways taught by the Agency while being able to verbally communicate to the child and other staff. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
