The RBT provides one-on-one support to children to achieve behavioral, social, and developmental goals. This includes implementing behavior intervention plans and collaborating with families and supervisors.
Candidates must have an active RBT certification, a high school diploma, and at least 2 years of experience. CPR and First Aid certifications are also required.
✔️ High School Diploma or GED required ✔️ Completion of the Initial 40-Hour RBT Training ✔️ Passed the Initial RBT Competency Assessment ✔️ Application submitted to the BACB and successful completion of the RBT Examination ✔️ Active RBT Certification (no pending, inactive, or expired status) ✔️ Minimum of 2 years of RBT experience ✔️ Continuous supervision by a BACB-certified supervisor in accordance with BACB guidelines ✔️ CPR and First Aid Certifications required ✔️ Experience working with IEPs and/or in a preschool setting ✔️ Experience supporting children with behavioral challenges and developmental needs preferred
