Instruct students on water safety and swimming techniques using the Goldfish Swim School curriculum. Ensure pool safety, perform rescues if necessary, and maintain communication with parents regarding student progress.
Requires two or more years of experience as a swimming instructor and certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, along with experience in childcare or youth sports.
The Broken Arrow location is being built as we speak! Opening is projected as August 4th. We need to hire our team beforehand for training. Interview and initial training would occur out of our Tulsa Hills location (address is on the listing)
1. Provides swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum. 2. Enforces safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents. Makes rescues and administers first aid when necessary. 3. Evaluates students’ progress, and completes required paperwork in a timely manner. 4. Interacts with parents/guardians on the activities and development of students’ swim skills. 5. Acts as a GSS “ambassador” to ensure parental satisfaction. 6. Uses problem solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter. 7. Inspects pool areas before and after each class for possible maintenance, cleanliness or damage issues. Reports issues to management as appropriate. 8. Maintains and ensures proper storage of all pool equipment. Places and removes lane lines. 9. Reports accidents and incidents to management. Completes required documentation and paperwork. 10. Performs Deck Teacher duties as needed. 11. Performs light cleaning duties such as window washing, deck mopping, trash removal etc. on occasion. 12. Attend required/mandatory workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours. 13. Fulfills other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Employer.
