English (ESL) Language Teacher in Sterling Heights, MI

Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are currently hiring an English (ESL) Teacher to provide in-person lessons to our client in Sterling Heights.

Job Information

• Student: 1 adult
• Location: Lessons are to be held at the student's home in Sterling Heights, MI (Van Dyke Ave & 17 Mile Rd)
• Preferred start date: ASAP

Details • Availability

• Monday and
• Tuesday from 5:00
• PM to 6:00 PM, but can be flexible if the teacher has alternative times to suggest
• Lesson
• Frequency and
• Duration: Twice per week, 1 hour per session
• Current language level: Advanced
• Native language: Arabic
• Student's language needs and goals:
• Pronunciation and speech clarity.
• Accent improvement and reduction of foreign accent interference.
• Public speaking and presentation skills.
• Professional and academic English.
• Building confidence when speaking in front of others.

Responsibilities

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
• Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
• Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications

• Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in English
• Degree or certification in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field
• Minimum of two years of English (ESL) teaching experience
