We are looking for individuals, age 15+ to serve as swim instructors or aides.

As a swim instructor or aide you develop important skills such as communication, leadership and responsibility that will serve you for a lifetime!

What is needed for this job as our Swim Instructor (Or Instructor Aide): Age 15+ Experience with kids and passionate about teaching children to swim Ability to pass American Red Cross CPR Certification Ability to complete and pass our in-water skills assessment The responsibilities we will trust you with as our Swim Instructor (Or Instructor Aide): Provide a safe environment that allows members and participants to learn to swim Encourage and support students to provide an enjoyable aquatics experience Evaluate swimming skills; complete progress reports for each session; complete communications for parents Participate as a part of the aquatics staff team in providing a safe and enjoyable environment Attend staff meetings and trainings as required What you can expect: Support from an amazing team Opportunities to learn & grow at the YMCA Being a part of a non-profit organization that works to make the community stronger YMCA is an Equal Opportunity Employer All Qualified Women, Minorities, Persons with Disabilities, and US Veterans Encouraged to Apply After reading this, if you’re thinking this is for me- we want to meet you!
