WHAT YOU'LL DO Start date: August 2026 Teaching Fellows/Assistant Teachers work closely with Early Learning Center teachers to plan and carry out developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum and activities for 3-5-year-olds, helping students develop comprehension and oral language in Spanish and English. Fellows also help and lead hands-on activities to foster cognitive and socio-emotional skills. This fellowship offers a unique opportunity for recent graduates or career changers who are interested in bilingual education to gain early childhood teaching experience. Fellows join a vibrant, diverse faculty community and participate in ongoing professional learning. Fellows will also: Help to build a robust learning atmosphere that leads students to value being at school and feel part of a joyful community Collaborate intensively and daily with colleagues to continually improve student learning and school culture Support teachers and students during specialist classes, student lunches, arrival and dismissals
WHAT YOU'LL BRING Full professional fluency in Spanish and English Experience working with 3-5 years olds (e.g. assistant teacher, camp counselor, or related role) Interested in a career in early childhood education; master’s candidates in early childhood or bilingual education strongly preferred Curiosity and humility, to reflect, welcome feedback, and continually grow in teaching practice Experience in small group instruction preferred Bachelor's degree
If hired for this position, the annual compensation is $38,600.00.
