Deliver quality classroom, clinical, and laboratory instruction to ensure students achieve competency in Sterile Processing objectives. Manage the learning environment, assess student progress, and maintain professional relationships with industry employers.
Requires a degree, diploma, or certificate in Sterile Processing from an accredited post-secondary institution and two to three years of documented experience. Prior teaching experience is preferred.
At least a high school diploma or equivalent, some program instructors require further education. Sterile Processing Technician courses require a degree, diploma, or certificate in the field taught from a post-secondary institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. DOE and two years’ documented experience in the subject taught or three years of significant job-related, documented experience for those instructors without specific education in the field. Prior experience teaching is preferred, as applicable. WORKING / PHYSICAL DEMANDS: May require working late night or weekends The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit for extended periods of time; and have sufficient hand, arm and finger dexterity to operate a phone, computer keyboard and other office equipment.
