Description The Hun School of Princeton seeks a dynamic and creative Assistant Varsity Girls’ Soccer Coach who reports to the Head Girls’ Varsity Soccer Coach and Co-Directors of Athletics.
Serve as the Varsity Girls’ Soccer Assistant Coach grades 9-12; Official season is from the end of August through early November including a preseason. Collaborate with the Varsity Girls’ Soccer coaches in all aspects of the Girls’ Soccer program including, but not limited to: Developing training programs that include monitoring practices and skill development; Instruction and demonstration of skill sets and techniques necessary for development and athletic achievement in the sport of soccer; Supervision of the proper use of equipment and inventory including uniforms. This includes general upkeep of equipment and timely communication with the Co-Directors; Performing support tasks as needed by the Head Coach or athletic department including attendance or other related records. Ensuring a positive environment aligned with our school’s mission; Effectively communicate and collaborate with co directors, families, and other necessary stakeholders; Promoting the program within the school and in the community to support the admissions process; Contributing to Hun community life beyond the practice and competition venue to assist in furthering the mission of the school.
A Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; A minimum of 2-5 years coaching experience; at a High School or college is preferred; Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships with students, staff, parents, alumni, and community members; Ability to foster a positive team spirit as well as individual skill improvement; Availability to work a flexible schedule that includes some nights and weekend; First Aid and CPR training - or have the ability to be trained; A love for working with young people and a commitment to a diverse and inclusive community.
