Market context
Florida afterschool counselor roles are typically tied to school-age care programs that need staff who can supervise children safely, support routines, and respond calmly during busy after-school hours. These positions are competitive because employers often look for candidates with direct child experience, clean screening results, and readiness to complete required childcare and crisis-management training. Review the AI-summarized requirements and benefits here to save time, then confirm your experience with children and prepare for background and drug screening early.
