The School Social Worker addresses students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs to improve educational performance. Key duties include conducting evaluations, developing IEP goals, and serving as a liaison between the school, families, and community agencies.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Social Work and a valid LLMSW or LMSW license from LARA. Approval or eligibility for Michigan School Social Work approval from MDE and a satisfactory criminal background check are also required.
