Afternoon Teaching Assistants work Monday-Friday 12:30pm-6:00pm in an assigned classroom and work with experienced educators to create a great environment for both children & adults.

Engaging with Kids: Actively play, read, and interact with children during free play, circle time, and outdoor activities. Classroom Management: Help guide children through daily transitions, like moving from cleanup time to lunch or preparing for naps. Safety & Supervision: Keep a watchful eye on all children to ensure a safe, positive environment at all times. Daily Care: Assist with lunchtime, snack time, and hygiene tasks (which may include diapering or assisting with bathroom routines depending on the age group). Keeping Things Tidy: Help disinfect toys, wipe down tables, and organize classroom materials to keep our space clean and healthy. Support the Learning Environment: Assist co-teachers in lesson plan implementation and create positive relationships with staff and families. Comply with State Regulations: Maintain KDHE requirements at all times, including attending training and professional development.
