About the role

The Chaplain Resident provides spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff while participating in an action-reflection educational model. They work under the supervision of the Clinical Pastoral Education manager and participate in an on-call duty rotation.

The Chaplain Resident provides spiritual and emotional support to patients, their families, guests, and staff.

Simultaneously the Chaplain Resident is actively engaging in an action-reflection, process model of education that focuses on the development and enhancement of the student's professional competency and pastoral identity.

Reports to the Manager, Clinical Pastoral Education (CE) and works under the day-to-day supervision of the CE and assigned Spiritual Services Leader.

The CPE Resident participates in on-call duty rotation.

The program is designed for one year.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry or relevant religious studies similarly accepted in chaplaincy board certifying organizations.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
