Preschool Teacher - Shepherd's Flock Preschool

$22.50/hour. Full-time, rotating between 7

  • 00
  • AM-3:00
  • PM and 10:00
  • AM-6:00 PM. Teach in an award-winning intergenerational preschool where your classroom connects children with older adults every week.

Shepherd's Flock Preschool sits on the campus of Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights. As a Preschool Teacher here, you'll lead a classroom of children ages 3.5-5, with regular intergenerational programming that brings your students together with residents — a setting we haven't found at any other preschool in this market.

  • Lead a nurturing, engaging classroom for children ages 3.5-5
  • Deliver a well-rounded, developmentally appropriate educational experience
  • Support each child's growth through intentional interaction, care, and guidance
  • Lead and participate in intergenerational programming with older adults
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members

What you'll need

Required

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • At least a two-year degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, including coursework in Human Growth and Development, Lifespan Development, or similar
  • Illinois Gateways ECE Credential Level 3, completed or willingness to obtain after hire

Preferred

• 1-3 years of early childhood education or childcare experience

Requirements

Requires at least a two-year degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Candidates should have 1-3 years of experience and either possess or be willing to obtain an Early Childhood Education Level 3 certification.
