Job description

Position Description

  • The Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling Program in the College of Behavioral & Community Sciences is seeking a 12 Month visiting assistant professor of instruction beginning in the Fall 2026 semester.
  • The successful candidate must have a doctorate degree.
  • This position will be responsible for teaching classes and providing clinical supervision in the current program.
  • Course workload will be 4, 4, 3.
  • They will also contribute to the overall program function, including advising students, enhancing the curriculum, and participating in program activities.
  • We seek individuals who bring enthusiasm and a deep commitment to academic excellence within the scholar-practitioner tradition.
  • We are particularly interested in candidates who can provide leadership, and who have experience and credentials in clinical mental health counseling and rehabilitation counseling.
  • This position is for one year with the possibility of extension, based on funding availability.
