About the role

Implement developmentally appropriate curricula and manage a responsive learning environment for assigned age groups. Monitor child progress, design skill-building activities, and oversee the implementation of intervention plans like IEPs and ISFPs.

Responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum for assigned age group.

Manages well-run, organized, responsive learning environment and synchronizes the roles of teaching staff to ensure delivery of quality programming.

Monitors teacher:child ratio to ensure proper supervision of children.

Observes, records, and assesses the progress of each child and designs activities to further develop the identified skills and abilities.

Works with specialists to create goals and oversees the implementation of intervention plans (ISFP and IEP).

Completes professional writing (progress reports, newsletters, and portfolios); daily standards-based lesson planning; ongoing assessment (including ASQ, OUNCE, WSS); Daily Sheets, Behavior/Illness/Injury Reports.

Oversees/evaluates practicum students.

Serves as positive role-model and upholds program-wide values and other center initiatives through professional conduct.

Demonstrates strong leadership qualities to enhance overall team performance and fulfill program goals.

Required within 90 days of hire: Completion of Get Started with Center-based Care: Building Blocks for Quality, Pediatric First Aid CPR and Mandated Reporter Training.

Mandated Reporter Training to be maintained every 5 years.

Fire Safety Training required within a year of hire.

Education Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Required Other Completion of Get Started with Center Based Care - Building Blocks for Quality (K6.2, C1, CDA6; 10 hours) Required Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Preferred or Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required

Experience General Experience in a related teaching role with young children, or completion of teaching practicum Required General Experience and knowledge of DHS regulations and PA Early Learning Standards Required General Experience and knowledge of Ages & Stages Questionnaires, Ounce Scale, and

Work Sampling Preferred General Experience and knowledge of Environmental Rating Scale (ERS) standards and NAEYC Standards Preferred

Licenses Pediatric First Aid CPR Required

Requirements

Requires an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, with a Bachelor's degree preferred. Candidates must have experience in teaching young children and knowledge of DHS regulations and PA Early Learning Standards.
