The Ellis School, the only pre-kindergarten to grade 12 independent all-girls day school in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a part-time Middle and Upper School Physical Education teacher beginning in August 2026. Responsibilities include teaching physical education courses, supporting the overall health and wellness of students, and serving as an advisor to a small group of students. Additional responsibilities may include coaching and other duties that are integral to the role of faculty members, including—but not limited to—proctoring study halls, chaperoning, and committee work.
Under the supervision of the Chair of the Physical Education Department, this position directly advances The Ellis School's mission by fostering students' physical well-being, confidence, teamwork, and lifelong appreciation for health and fitness, empowering each girl to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.
