The coach is responsible for leading weekly team practices and attending all home and away games and tournaments. They must follow the program's curriculum guidelines to teach basketball fundamentals to young players.
The Olympic Club in San Francisco, the oldest private athletic club in the nation, is seeking talented and dedicated teachers of basketball to coach in our OC Elite AAU program.
The OC Elite program is widely recognized as the premier teaching AAU program in the Bay Area.
Those interested in applying should have a strong focus on teaching skill development and improving players.
Practices are held from 4:00-6:00pm twice a week and games and tournaments are played on weekends.
OC Elite currently features 13 level 1 AAU teams (boys and girls), many of which are amongst the best teams in the Bay Area.
Both Head and Asst.
Coaching positions are available to strong candidates.
This position is seasonal, part-time, non-exempt and reports to the Basketball Director of The Olympic Club.
Candidates must possess a strong knowledge of basketball rules and techniques along with the ability to teach skills to individuals and teams. Excellent communication skills and the ability to serve as a positive role model for youth are required.
