The Student Support Coordinator provides targeted academic and behavioral interventions for students through small group instruction and restorative practices. They are responsible for coordinating Student Study Teams (SSTs) and ensuring compliance with 504 Plans.
Candidates must have at least 60 college units and experience working with children in an educational setting. A bachelor's degree and familiarity with 504 Plans and restorative practices are preferred.
Provide targeted academic support in small group or one-on-one settings, focusing on core areas such as reading, writing, and math. Collaborate with classroom teachers to identify students needing intervention and help create support plans. Organize and facilitate Student Study Team (SST) meetings; track student progress and follow up on next steps. Coordinate and ensure compliance with 504 Plans, including documentation, accommodations, and communication with stakeholders. Monitor and document student progress; provide timely updates to teachers, administrators, and families. Support students with behavioral or social-emotional challenges through positive interventions and restorative practices. Assist in the development and facilitation of restorative circles and conflict resolution strategies.
Required: Minimum of 60 college units completed Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience working with children or youth, especially in a school or educational setting
