• Every Wednesday is a student early release day, which allows teachers to participate in weekly professional development and content team meetings. *This doesn’t include Wellness Wednesdays when all staff leave at student dismissal.

• Job DescriptionKIPP Jacksonville Public Schools seeks a High School Social Studies Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.
• Teachers will be responsible for at least one subject area and are responsible for creating a positive classroom environment, implementing curriculum, assessing students, collaborating with their team, building relationships with families, and other duties as assigned.
• Full teacher responsibilities are ultimately outlined by their school leader.

• OUR CURRENT MODELThe model for the high school will change over time as more grade levels are added and the model is subject to change. Core content areas at the high school level include science, history, ELA, and math. High school lead teachers will likely have a homeroom class and teach several classes in their subject area. While this is a typical teaching load, some teaching loads may vary. Any electives are selected by the school leader according to student interest and teacher certification area(s). Foreign language and elective teachers should apply through a separate posting. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Our current compensation and benefits structure is competitive and is commensurate with experience. Our current starting salary for a first-year lead teacher is $50,000 Access to individual health benefits (including medical, dental, and vision)**

• To support teacher practice and their growth, all lead teachers receive individualized coaching and professional development.*The salary offered in the DocuSign doesn’t include any stipends for which the candidate may be eligible. In our current year of paying out millage stipends, certified New-to-KIPP instructional staff received a historical average of $13,000 with the addition of receiving TSIA stipends. There are other opportunities to earn money at KIPP Jax in the form of additional stipends. This role will only be eligible for instructional stipends if they have their FLDOE certification.***This offering is subject to change each school year.
