The educator conducts educational assessments and provides instruction to children and adolescents in an inpatient psychiatric setting. They are responsible for developing special interventions, creating lesson plans, and participating in patient treatment planning.
A Bachelor's degree and a valid Illinois PEL teaching certificate are required, with a Master's degree and Special Education certification preferred. Candidates should ideally have one year of experience teaching children with emotional or behavioral disorders.
