Assists the Head Teacher in planning and implementing educational activities to support the social, emotional, and intellectual growth of preschool children. Maintains a clean learning environment and ensures child safety during classroom activities and transportation routes.
Requires a High School Diploma/GED and either a CDA, an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, or a willingness to obtain a CDA within two years. Candidates must have experience with preschool-aged children and the physical ability to lift children and move furniture.
High School Diploma/GED and a CDA or A.A. in Early Childhood Education or a related field or the willingness to enroll in a CDA program and complete it within 2 years. Experience with pre-school aged children. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to maintain visual and auditory supervision of children at all times to ensure their safety in the classroom, on the playground, and on field trips. Must be able to lift pre-school age children and move child-size furniture. Must be able to communicate with parents and pre-school children. Must be able to climb, stoop, crawl, kneel, and bend to speak to children at the child's eye level, play with the children, and pick-up toys and equipment from the floor.
