Bambini Montessori Academy in Gambrills is urgently seeking a warm, dedicated, and enthusiastic Twos Teacher to join our early childhood team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with young children and is ready to make a meaningful difference every day.

What you’ll do

  • In this role, you will help shape the foundation of a child’s early learning journey by:
  • Creating and implementing engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans
  • Supporting children’s social, emotional, and academic development through daily routines
  • Maintaining a safe, organized, and positive classroom environment
  • Observing and documenting developmental progress and milestones
  • Guiding positive behavior and supporting classroom transitions
  • Communicating effectively with families about student growth and needs
  • Collaborating with co-teachers and school leadership to ensure consistency in care and instruction
  • Maintaining accurate records including attendance, reports, and incident documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with MSDE and OCC licensing requirements
  • Participating in staff meetings and ongoing training sessions

What we’re looking for

We are looking for individuals who bring patience, energy, and a genuine love for early childhood education.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 19 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion or willingness to complete
  • MSDE-required training:
  • 90-hour Preschool Certification
  • 45-hour Child Growth & Development
  • 45-hour Preschool Curriculum
  • 9-hour Communication Course
  • Basic Health & Safety Training
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Maryland State background check and fingerprint clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Montessori certification (AMI, AMS, or MACTE)
  • 2+ years experience in a licensed early childhood setting
