Job Description

Job Title: Part-Time Faculty CCBC is seeking applications for part-time faculty positions. Application materials will be viewed and placed in a pool for consideration to fill part-time teaching assignments on an as-needed basis. Part-time applications are accepted year-round and will remain in the pool for at least one year. The following list includes areas of highest need (applications for areas not listed below may still be considered). School of Professions & Transfer Studies Biology Computer Information Systems Criminal Justice English, Literature, & Writing Mathematics Psychology Safety Management School of Health Sciences Nursing OB Clinical Faculty Radiological Technology Veterinary Technician James M. Johnson School of Aviation Sciences Air Traffic Control Professional Piloting *See Minimum Qualifications section for Education/Experience Required. SUMMARY: Part-time faculty to teach day and/or evening classes in a respective discipline in one of the following Schools/Academic Divisions: James M. Johnson School of Aviation Sciences, the School of Industrial Technology and Continuing Education, the School of Professions and Transfer Studies, and the School of Health Sciences. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list is meant to be representative, not exhaustive. Some incumbents may not perform all the duties listed while in other cases related duties may also be assigned. Minimum Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties and responsibilities. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of the requisite knowledge, skill and abilities. A typical way to obtain these would be: Master’s Degree in the discipline or related field. Doctorate preferred. Candidates with 18 graduate credits in the discipline will also be considered. See other specific requirements below for high-priority areas. School of Professions & Transfer Studies Biology - Master’s Degree in discipline or related field. Doctorate preferred. Candidates with 18 graduate credits in the discipline will also be considered. Computer Information Systems - Master’s Degree in discipline or related field. Doctorate preferred. Candidates with 18 graduate credits in the discipline will also be considered. Criminal Justice - Master’s Degree in the discipline or related field. Doctorate preferred. Candidates with 18 graduate credits in the discipline will also be considered. English, Literature, & Writing – Master’s Degree in discipline or related field. Doctorate preferred. Candidates with 18 graduate credits in the discipline will also be considered. Mathematics - Master’s Degree in discipline or related field. Doctorate preferred. Candidates with 18 graduate credits in the discipline will also be considered. Psychology - Master's Degree in discipline. Doctorate preferred. School of Health Sciences Nursing: Required Current PA Nursing License Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Preferred Master’s Degree in Nursing Nursing - OB Clinical: Required Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Current RN License OB Nursing Experience Preferred Master's Degree in Nursing Radiologic Technology: Required ARRT Minimum of 3 years of imaging experience Veterinary Technician: Required Veterinary Technician Certification James M. Johnson School of Aviation Sciences Air Traffic Control: Required AAS degree in Air Traffic Control Minimum 5 years of full-time experience serving as a controller at an FAA facility Preferred Bachelor’s Degree Professional Piloting: Required Associate degree in Professional Pilot or related degree required. Pilot rating with FAA Ground Instructor Certificate Advanced/Instrument or FAA Flight Instructor Certificate CFI/CFII or commercial pilot with instrument and multi-engine ratings Flight experience commensurate with flight ratings held Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master's Degree. Post-secondary teaching experience (preferably at the community college-level) ATP Certificate PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in indoor conditions and regularly works near video display. The employee occasionally works in evenings or on weekends. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, a current RN license, and specific experience in OB nursing. A Master's degree in Nursing is preferred.
