Grow your career in the industry What will you do as a Deck Supervisor/LifeGuard/Instructor?
Serve as the lifeguard on duty.
Responsible for observing and patrolling the pool area, enforcing safety regulations as outlined in American Red Cross Lifeguard standards Assist swimmers in and around the pool area as well as swim instructors, as needed Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
Prepare and maintain appropriate incident reports.
What are we looking for in a Deck Supervisor/LifeGuard/Instructor?
Maintain Red Cross Lifeguard certification, Red Cross CPR/AED certification for adult, infant and swimmer Previous swim instruction experience is required Must be able to successfully complete all lifeguarding prerequisites to American Red Cross standards The main focus of a swim instructor is to teach swimming skills in accordance with Streamline Brands curriculum in a fun, positive manner Provide continuous, positive corrective feedback to students and customers on their swimming efforts Structure class time appropriately to incorporate repetition, reinforcement, and introduction of required skills Ensure swimmer safety
Candidates must hold Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR/AED certifications for adults, infants, and swimmers. Previous experience in swim instruction is required to successfully lead classes and maintain safety standards.
