The Group Leader is responsible for supervising students during after-school hours and leading various enrichment activities. They manage student transitions, snack administration, and provide support for students with special needs.
The ideal candidate must be committed to student achievement and capable of upholding school culture. They must be able to plan activities in sports, art, and games while participating in professional development and coaching cycles.
The After School Group Leader Sub (GL) is responsible for supervising students during after school time, including leading student enrichment activities. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with peers, teachers, and students, have a deep commitment to student achievement, hold students and self to high expectations, and uphold Navigator school culture at all times.
Sign students in to the afterschool program, and oversee student transition to other activities as well as pick up and dismissal Perform supervisory duties for students during activities, including play Provide assistance with snack administration activities, such as recording student receipt of snack, administering snacks, and assist in cleaning of eating areas Planning and Implementing Student Activities Group leaders will plan activities in the areas of sports, games, art, and other enrichment activities Student Support With the support of the Student Services department and teachers, assist special needs students in areas of educational concern ? Assist students with special needs as prescribed (Training provided as needed). Participate fully in all assigned staff meetings, professional developments and planning sessions Prepare student activity plans as assigned Participate fully in the coaching cycle (being observed, receiving real-time and post-lesson feedback, collaborate with coach on action steps, implement action steps, etc.) Support the general day-to-day happenings of the school site Uphold Navigator’s mission, values, and culture at all times Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
