Provide specialized instruction and tutoring to students with learning disabilities within an independent study program. Manage the IEP process, including scheduling meetings, conducting evaluations, and tracking student progress toward goals.
Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and a valid Arizona Special Education Credential. Must be capable of teaching students in grades 6-12 and operating standard office technology.
Required: Special Education teacher license. Ability to teach students of grades 6-12. Ability to work with student of all ages. Ability to understand, adopt, and support the independent study program, concepts and their philosophies. Ability to organize and present ideas effectively in oral and written form. Ability to make skillful decisions. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to operate a PC computer, word processor, copier, FAX, and other office machines. Education and Experience: Minimum BA degree or equivalent. PIE’s experiential programs promote not only social and personal growth, but community involvement, environmentalism, and STEAM learning, and are proven to increase high school graduation rates among attendees.
