Instructors will lead classes in heritage languages for beginners aged 5 to 10, focusing on oral language skills and cultural connections. They will also engage families and incorporate STEAM-based activities as students develop basic communication skills.
Candidates must be native speakers of the specified languages and have experience working with elementary-aged children. A background in teaching or language acquisition is desirable, along with a passion for connecting language with culture.

POSITION DESCRIPTION AIS is looking for instructors to join our Afterschool Heritage Language program in the following languages: Greek, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Russian or Swahili. The teacher will lead a class in that is composed of beginners and mixed ages (5 to 10 years old). The class group is small (3 to 8 students). Students have a cultural connection to the language but may not have language competency at the start of the course.
