• Position Overview We are seeking passionate and knowledgeable Spanish Literacy Tutors to support K–12 students in developing their Spanish language and literacy skills.
• The ideal candidate will create engaging, individualized learning experiences that align with the San Diego Unified School District curriculum and address each student's unique academic needs.
• Key Responsibilities Deliver personalized Spanish literacy instruction based on student needs, learning goals, and curriculum standards.
• Assess student strengths and areas for growth and develop customized learning plans.
• Provide remedial support, enrichment opportunities, and supplemental practice assignments.
• Foster student confidence, engagement, and academic success through effective teaching strategies.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and meet at least one of the following criteria: Hold a valid California teaching credential (or equivalent certification). Be a current student teacher enrolled in a teacher credential program. Have at least two years of classroom teaching experience in a public, private, or charter school setting. Have experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited U.S. college or university. Be a master’s or doctoral student with teaching assistant experience at an accredited U.S. college or university.
