The teacher will nurture the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children ages 2-3 through inclusive learning experiences. Key duties include planning lessons using the Creative Curriculum and collaborating with therapists and families to support diverse needs.
Candidates must have at least one year of experience with young children and 45 clock hours of formal early childhood education. A valid Florida Driver's License and the ability to pass a Level II Background Check are required.

Our Discovery Learning Center is a warm, inclusive preschool serving children ages 2 months to 5 years, including children with diverse abilities.

What You’ll Do As a Teacher, you will help nurture each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development through engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
Creating a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels safe, supported, and valued Planning and leading engaging lessons using the Creative Curriculum, including music, art, sensory play, and hands-on learning Supporting children with diverse needs using positive behavior support strategies Tracking developmental progress using Teaching Strategies Gold Building strong partnerships with families through open communication and conferences Maintaining accurate documentation and records to support individualized learning Collaborating with fellow teachers, therapists, and leadership as part of a mission-driven team Following Pinellas County Childcare Licensing Standards and all safety requirements Our classrooms are staffed based on children’s needs, not just minimum ratios, allowing you to focus on quality care, strong relationships, and meaningful instruction.
What We’re Looking For Formal early childhood education 45 clock hours, or will have within 30 days Minimum 1 year of experience working with young children Experience supporting children with disabilities in an educational or childcare setting Valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record Ability to meet physical demands of the role (standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., active supervision)
