  • Shift: AnyJob Description The Iona University Athletic Department is currently inviting applications for an open Assistant Athletic Trainer position. Sports assignments will include, but are not limited to, Women’s Soccer and M/W Tennis. The individual in this position will provide preventative and rehabilitative health care to Iona University student-athletes. Responsibilities of this position include providing athletic training services to the Iona student-athletes for practices and games, determining course of treatments for injured athletes, consulting the Head Athletic Trainer and/or referring to Team Physician as needed, and maintaining athletic training equipment and supplies. This individual will also assist in other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine/Head Athletic Trainer. A staff of ten Certified Athletic Trainers make up the Iona University Sports Medicine staff, and oversee the medical care of Iona’s 22 Varsity Sports.

Duties and Responsibilities

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, NATA certification, and licensure in the State of New York. Candidates must have 1-2 years of professional experience and a valid driver's license.
