Responsibilities/Essential
FUNCTIONS: Effectively manage a classroom. Teach high school Bible from a biblical worldview and with excellence. Create an engaging, relational, and joy-filled learning environment with the students. Provide excellence in planning, teamwork, and communication. Be creative, have a strong work ethic, and think "outside the box". Work in a team-centered environment. Include biblical integration in all lessons. Engage students in inquiry-based activities. Treat all students with dignity, gentleness, and respect. Provide physical, emotional, and spiritual safety and security for all students by being relational. Other duties or responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
Qualified
APPLICANTS: Must be a born-again believer in Jesus Christ; be involved with an evangelical, protestant church of like faith and practice; and agree with the philosophies, Statement of Faith and Statement of Christian Life Commitment of Southside Christian School. Must be willing to enroll eligible children at Southside Christian School. Must be able to articulate a deep understanding of a biblically informed philosophy of Christian education. Must have experience working directly with students. Experience in a high school setting is preferred. Strong communication and presentation skills are required. Must be able to obtain ACSI Certification. Bachelor's degree in Bible/Ministry is required. Master's is preferred.

REQUIREMENTS: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Must be able to effectively evacuate students from second story classroom.
