You’ll design and deliver personalized instruction, implement accommodations, and oversee IEPs to ensure students receive the support they need to thrive. Through collaboration with educators, service providers, and families, you’ll help create learning environments that build confidence, independence, and academic achievement.
Develop, implement, and maintain compliant IEPs. Track student progress using data collection and analysis. Collaborate with general education staff to support inclusive practices. Provide individualized and small-group instruction aligned with IEP goals. Participate in evaluations, planning meetings, and multidisciplinary teams.
Knowledge of IDEA regulations and IEP processes. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Completion of an approved Special Education preparation program. Passing scores on required Washington endorsement exams (e.g., WEST-E or equivalent). Valid Washington State Special Education teaching certificate (P–12) issued by OSPI, or eligibility to obtain.
